The Women of AT&T Cathy Coughlin Memorial Scholarship was established to honor an AT&T trailblazer who encouraged young women to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

 

In honor of the WOA's 50th anniversary, ten (10) $1000 scholarships will be awarded to female students who are currently attending an accredited undergraduate program and majoring in a STEM-related field of study.

 

All application materials must be received between August 22, 2022 - October 14, 2022 (midnight Eastern Time).

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must be:

• Female

• Currently classified as a Sophomore, Junior or Senior and enrolled at an accredited college or university

• Majoring in a STEM-related field

• Have a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA (4.00 scale)

• Sponsored by a Women of AT&T member 

 

AT&T employees are not eligible to receive a National Women of AT&T Scholarship. Family and friends of employees are eligible.

 

 

AWARD CRITERIA

Scholarship recipients are chosen through a process that evaluates the following areas:

• Academic Standing (Official Transcript / GPA)

• Essay:

  • Content (creative, well thought out, engaging, speaks to topic)

  • Quality (well-written, solid sentences and paragraphs, proper grammar, correct spelling)
