Junior Achievement Volunteer Opportunities

The following opportunities are traditional JA implementation. Volunteers would teach one a class over the course of 5 weeks.

One (1) – 8th grade class

JA Program: JA Economics for Success – 8th grade students

JA Economics for Success Program Brief

 

As a volunteer, you will:

  • Participate in a 1 hour JA Volunteer Training (training is required for all new JA volunteers)

  • Receive ready-to-use materials provided by JA.

  • Teach up to 6 forty-five minute lessons to a class of approximately 30 8th grade students

  • Program runs over 5 weeks – Tentative start date: End of September Schedule can be finalized with the classroom teacher. Day of week is flexible – mornings on 8:30-9:20 a.m. or on Wednesdays, 9:30-10:10 a.m.

Three (3) -- 5th grade classrooms available!

JA Our Nation Program Brief

 

As a volunteer, you will:

  • Participate in a 1 hour JA Volunteer Training (training is required for all new JA volunteers)

  • Receive ready-to-use materials provided by JA.

  • Teach up to 5 forty-five minute lessons to a class of approximately 30 5th grade students

  • Program runs over 5 weeks – Tentative start date: November 4, 2019. Schedule can be finalized with the classroom teacher.

JA Our Region Program Brief

 

As a volunteer, you will:

  • Participate in a 1 hour JA Volunteer Training (training is required for all new JA volunteers)

  • Receive ready-to-use materials provided by JA.

  • Teach up to 5 forty-five minute lessons to a class of approximately 30 4th  grade students

  • Program runs over 5 weeks – Tentative start date: November 4 Schedule can be finalized with the classroom teacher. Preferred days: Monday or Tuesday mornings
